Per Diem Medical Office Associate I

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Medical Office Associate I at Hackettstown Medical Center. Required hours are weekdays from 8:00AM-4:00PM. Starting rate $20.05/hr. Essential Function/Responsibilities:

• Manages phones.
• Greets patients.
• Schedules/confirms appointments.
• Enters demographics & patient information.
• Verifies insurance coverage, complete forms, collect co-pays.
• Balances cash.
• Maintains schedule in EMR system, and processes pre-certs/authorizations & referrals as well as medical records releases.
• Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required.
• To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of computerized scheduling & EMR system a plus.
• Individual must be customer and employee focused, must have demonstrated ability to multi-task.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Relevant Experience:

• Prior administrative experience in a physician practice strongly preferred.
