Details Hospital-based Surgical/Transplant unit (4W) providing care for post-surgical and pre-evaluation transplant patients Patient population includes post-surgical kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients, as well as pre-transplant patients undergoing inpatient evaluation Mixed Med/Surg and stepdown floor — nurses may be assigned to either MS or SD patients depending on staffing and acuity Close monitoring required for infection, rejection, and timely medication delivery Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hours/week) 13-week contract Requirements Active RN license (OK state or eNLC compact) currently in hand Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA certifications only Minimum 1 year of acute care surgical floor experience required Stepdown/PCU experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred OR (operating room) candidates will not be accepted Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted Full DOB required for consideration Additional Information Transplant experience (kidney, liver, pancreas) preferred ENT experience preferred Preceptor and charge nurse experience preferred BSN from a board-approved program preferred If ICU nurses float to the unit, they will be assigned stepdown patients based on acuity and skill set Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 cumulative weeks before being eligible for a new contract Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance American Traveler Job ID #P-713121.
