Health System Specialist

Duties

Oversee operational performance assessments; identifying and developing process improvement; and oversight and management of the administrative operations of the Department.

Analyze processes, identify and propose changes to reduce supply waste and duplicative orders.

Prepare formal budget submissions for approval by the Department Chief for submission to the Office of the Surgeon General.

Establish priorities for procurement and management of personnel, services, supplies, space, contracts, and equipment with guidance from the Department Chief, and allocates available funds accordingly.

Provide direct support for Clinical Services in areas of long-range planning, resolution of system problems, and assisting the Service Chief, Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program Managers.

Plan work, establish priorities, assign work, review, and accept or reject work.

Assist in the development of plans, programs, and monitoring of clinics and health plan management to maintain or improve the quality of service and health care delivered by the operating room through advanced systems administrator functions.
