  POSITION DESCRIPTION

1. POSITION IDENTIFICATION

Title Sales Engineer

Functional Area Infrastructure Systems

Reports to Infrastructure Systems Director 

Compensation Range $60,000 annually 

Employment Status  Full Time

2. POSITION OBJECTIVE

Convert a qualified customer need into an accurate, supportable, profitable technical solution and a complete handoff package that the Project Manager and technicians can execute without avoidable discovery, rework, or rescue.

3. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•     Demonstrated ability to discover, design, estimate, document, and explain technical solutions in

Infrastructure, low-voltage, networking, security, AV, structured cabling, or a closely related environment.

•     Strong technical writing, drawing interpretation/creation, BOM development, labor estimating,

vendor research, and customer presentation skills.

•     Ability to balance accuracy, turnaround, customer value, standardization, margin awareness, and

execution risk.

•     Strong curiosity and discipline in gathering field evidence; willingness to state uncertainty and close

it before commitment.

•     Working knowledge of applicable codes, safety practices, manufacturer standards, testing,

commissioning, and documentation expectations for the final solution portfolio.

•     Licenses, certifications, travel, driving, on-call, and physical requirements.
