Location Robinson High, Pulaski County Special School District, Little Rock, Arkansas Starting Date Aug 3, 2026 Job Description Implement the educational program for students in the Pulaski County Special School District. Qualifications Valid Arkansas teaching certificate High school English background Bachelor’s degree preferred Citizenship, residency, or work visa required Reporting To Building Principal Performance Responsibilities Diagnose the achievement level of each student. Plan, prescribe, and direct the learning activities of students. Motivate students to learn. Create and maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning in instructional stations and activities. Evaluate progress of students and inform students continuously. Assist with counseling of students for academic, personal, social, and career improvement. Implement school or district curricular goals. Ensure that substitutes have all necessary information for effective instruction. Prepare and follow effective lesson plans. Assist in the development of school and district curriculums. Assist in assessing school and district needs for instructional materials and equipment. Prepare for principal lists of material and equipment needs for instructional assignment. Inform students of school or district regulations that are pertinent to them. Confer with parents on students' progress and attitudes. Supervise students in corridors, rest rooms, lunchrooms, and on school grounds in accordance with Board policy, with equitable distribution. Assist in enforcement of school regulations at all times. Participate in all prescribed in-service programs. Maintain and report on necessary records for pupil accounting, progress, material and equipment inventories, collection of money, etc. Check attendance and report absences and tardies. Sponsor clubs and activities on a fair basis. Take responsibility for issued materials and equipment. Know Board of Education policies, Desegregation Plan, district and school guidelines and regulations and adhere to them. Supervise early and late bus students on an equitable assigned basis. Attend faculty meetings. Participate in professional activities related to subject area assignment. Keep informed of latest curriculum developments. Other duties as assigned. Terms of Employment Salary: Teacher Salary Schedule, placement depends upon education and experience. Length of contract: 190 days per contract year. Eligible for benefits: Yes.
