Asphalt Laborer

Description We are seeking an Asphalt Laborer to join our team and support the day-to-day operations of our construction projects. Responsibilities: Assist with general construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, and operating hand and power tools Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment Gather tools needed for the day Deliver water to the rollers and plate compactors Sweep and rake Use shovels, rakes, brooms, and/or other hand tools Direct traffic, as needed Assist operator, as needed Assist with minor equipment maintenance and cleaning of equipment Other duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Willing to travel/work out of town is required for this position Experience in construction or related industry preferred Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, maintain a good attendance record and willingness to learn Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and working in all weather conditions Basic math and measurement skills Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team Excellent communication skills to interact at all levels Work overtime, nights, and weekends, as needed This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position.
