About the Position

Job Title: Electrophysiology Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Electrophysiology Tech Duration: 19 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT R or CCI RCIS or CCI RCES Must-Have: Experience in an Electrophysiology Lab Description: EP Tech needed for the Electrophysiology Lab. The tech will work with a patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics. The ratio is 2 rooms with a patient care ratio of 1:5. The daily patient census is between 8 to 12. Candidates with 1 year of experience are preferred, but first-timers are accepted. Compliance with required certifications is mandatory before starting. The clinical fit will be assessed, and candidates who pass will be sent for final decision. Floating to other units may occur occasionally. Call requirements are in place, but no weekend call is required. If on call, the tech is required to stay beyond scheduled hours. Travelers are expected to work major holidays, and the specifics of holiday coverage are outlined. Full compliance is required for timely onboarding. The unit utilizes Epic and Pyxis for patient management and medication verification. The hospital provides scrub colors for the staff. Limited requests for time off are accepted, and no requests can be made during the orientation week. The working environment will involve maintaining sterile fields and following isolation precautions. Special procedures include cardiac mapping, cardiac ablation, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias.
