Job Title: Customer Care Agent (60% Field / 40% Office - company car provided)

Location: Hampton, VA - Onsite 8am-5pm (flexible - Mon-Fri)

6-month contract to hire

Pay Rate: $24-$27 Hourly Based on Experience

Overview:
Insight Global is seeking a Customer Care Agent to support a leading utility engineering and construction client. This individual will serve as a key liaison between customers and project teams, ensuring clear communication throughout the lifecycle of engineering and construction projects. The role requires a highly organized, customer-focused professional who can manage multiple priorities while delivering a positive and professional experience.

Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, including homeowners and clients
• Manage customer inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and professional manner
• Document all interactions, updates, and project details within internal systems
• Communicate updates, concerns, and project status to supervisors and internal teams
• Balance company and utility requirements with customer expectations
• Escalate complex issues to management as needed
• Determine when field visits are required and conduct on-site customer meetings
• Support customer experience initiatives and participate in team coaching efforts
• Work in field environments 50–60% of the time interacting directly with stakeholders

Requirements:
• 3+ years of overall work experience
• Strong customer service or customer-facing experience
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable working outdoors and in field-based environments (50–75%)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems [POC for ho...he project | OneNote]

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Experience in telecommunications, cable, or utility environments
• Call center or customer support experience
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders in construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects
