Sr. Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer III
We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and solution oriented Data Engineer III to help design, build, and scale our data platform. This role is responsible for developing reliable data pipelines, integrations, and reporting solutions that support business critical systems and analytics. The ideal candidate will have expertise with design and architecture and ambitions to move into a player coach role while leading a team.


As a senior member of the team, you will work independently on complex initiatives while collaborating with engineers, QA, and business stakeholders. You will also play a key role in mentoring others and setting high engineering standards.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows
• Write and optimize advanced SQL for performance and reliability
• Leverage Azure, Fabric, Spark, and Python to automate and scale workflows
• Lead engineering efforts on machine learning and artificial intelligence initiatives
• Build and maintain REST and SOAP APIs for internal and external integrations
• Monitor and troubleshoot data processes to ensure high availability
• Partner with business users to gather requirements and improve systems
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
• Provide tier 3 support for reporting and accounting related systems
• Mentor team members and take ownership of complex projects

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• Senior level experience in data engineering or a related field
• Expert level SQL and strong experience with Python, dbt, and or C#
• Expertise with Azure Data Factory or similar orchestration tools
• Strong leadership skills and proven history of mentoring junior staff
• Strong understanding of data modeling and ETL concepts
• Experience with Git and modern development best practices
• Ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems
