SUPERVISOR, PATIENT DINING

Position Overview Role: Supervisor, Patient Dining (Full-time) at Cleveland Clinic – 9500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44195. Online applications only. Schedule: Morning or Evening shifts, every other weekend, some holidays. Availability from 7am–7pm (set schedule within timeframe). Pay: $18.00–$20.00/hour. Supervisor experience required. Experience in patient dining, food service, or hospitality preferred. Job Summary Patient Services Leads coordinate patient meal service and special requests for the Patient Dining Program. They oversee training, staffing, and service quality to create a comfortable and compassionate environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee systems and processes to achieve operational objectives of the Patient Dining Program. Supervise Patient Dining Associates and ensure proper menu selection, assembly, and delivery of meal trays. Collaborate with caregivers and culinary team to provide menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences. Interact with nursing staff to monitor daily meal selection, tray completion, delivery, and retrieval. Respond to patients’ needs promptly; communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel. Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on liquid or specific calorie diets. Adhere to HIPAA policies and patient confidentiality procedures. Comply with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO, and HACCP guidelines. Follow health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures. Complete all required reports per Morrison Healthcare policies and procedures. Conduct daily associate team meetings following Morrison’s GR8 Start Meeting guidelines and template. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong communication skills and ability to read safety rules, procedure manuals, and operation and maintenance instructions. Proficiency with hospital admission, discharge and transfer (ADT) system and other computer-based systems. Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food delivery carts.
