Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position is located in Lake Butler, FL, offering a direct hire opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge. The role involves managing a low-volume pharmacy dispensing approximately 100 prescriptions daily, including 15-20 chemotherapy treatments.

Qualifications:

• Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
• 3-5 years of experience in hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding compliant with USP <797> , USP <800> , DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Pharmacy management experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a sterile compounding environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Preferred: 3-5 years recent experience in home infusion, hospital, or oncology infusion pharmacy.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders with accuracy.
• Perform and supervise sterile compounding in line with USP standards.
• Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations to ensure safety and quality.
• Review medication profiles for safety concerns such as allergies, interactions, and dosing.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.
• Maintain cleanroom standards, aseptic technique, and environmental monitoring.
• Manage quality assurance, medication safety programs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee inventory control, controlled substances management, and daily pharmacy operations.
• Develop and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Lead staff meetings and ensure strict adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements including OSHA, DEA, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Consistently use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
