If you're as passionate about your future as we are, join our team.KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director Software Engineer to join our Ignition Tax Product organization.Responsibilities:Lead the design, development, and deployment of full-stack software solutions, including both internal and external-facing GenAI-enabled tools that drive the M&A Tax strategic technology roadmapServe as a technical mentor and guide for M&A Tax professionals and innovation team members, providing critical reviews of code, establishing best practices, and elevating the team's software development capabilitiesPartner closely with cross-functional teams, including Ignition software development professionals and non-technical M&A tax specialists, to translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and practical technology solutionsOwn the end-to-end lifecycle of software development projects, from initial architecture and system design through to testing, documentation, deployment, and production supportAct as a key problem-solver and technical expert, navigating ambiguity to deliver high-quality solutions and set the technical direction for software development within the M&A Tax innovation groupDrive the adoption of modern software engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and cloud-native architecture, to build and maintain a resilient and efficient technology ecosystemAct with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environmentQualifications:Minimum eight years of recent full-time industry experience in a software engineering or technical lead role, including a minimum of five years of technical lead experience, with a strong background in full-stack developmentBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required or acquired academic level by working experienceExtensive proficiency in multiple programming languages (for example, Python, Go, C++, JavaScript) and expertise in modern backend technologies (for example, distributed microservices, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases)Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted tooling, workflow automation, or the practical application of AI/ML models in software productsExcellent communication and leadership skills, with proven experience mentoring other engineers, conducting code reviews, and partnering effectively with non-technical stakeholdersStrong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure), containerization (for example, Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD and DevOps practices (for example, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) California Salary Range: $153000 - $297000 KPMG offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
