About the Position

Job Title: RRT - ECMO Specialist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 20 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 (18:30 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years RRT and 1 year ECMO Specialist experience required. License: State License required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, RRT Must-Have: - Adult Critical Care experience. - Airway Management experience including Endotracheal tube/suctioning, Extubation, Intubation Assist, and Tracheostomy care. - Patient care experience with ARDS, Aspiration, Bronchoscopy, COVID, ECMO, Fresh tracheostomy, and Pneumonia. - Medication administration skills including Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled steroids, and Nitric Oxide. - Ventilator management skills including BiPAP, CPAP, and Troubleshooting high pressure alarms. - ABG interpretation and Chest Physiotherapy experience. Description: The position is for an RRT - ECMO Specialist on the night shift. This role will occasionally require day shift coverage as needed. The candidate will work every other weekend. First-timers accepted with a minimum of 1 year ECMO specialist experience. The clinician will float within their scope to meet facility needs as necessary. Required work setting experience includes Adult Critical Care. The candidate must have comprehensive medication delivery system skills and nebulizer experience. Arterial puncture experience is mandatory. Candidates will be responsible for patient transport and high-quality patient care. This position requires strong communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. ABG interpretation and patient assessments are essential responsibilities of this role. The candidate should be prepared to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Qualified applicants will be expected to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and expertise in respiratory therapy.
