Medical Billing Specialist

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Medical Billing & Collections Specialist will manage claim submissions, monitor claim statuses, and investigate rejections and denials while ensuring compliance with insurance guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Process claims to appropriate insurance companies according to guidelines Perform follow-up on unpaid insurance accounts and process appeals when necessary Identify trends and issues related to billing and reimbursements, reporting findings to leadership Required Qualifications: 1+ year(s) of experience in a business, medical, or clinical environment Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) billing systems Strong knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance guidelines Fluent in English, both spoken and written Proficient with basic accounting and ten-key by touch preferred
