Responsibilities

Job PurposePattern Energy is seeking an experienced Associate who will support the Strategic Finance and business planning activities for the Company. The Associate will assist in financial, business plan, and liquidity reporting for Company by leading financial analysis and ongoing maintenance of the Company Corporate Model. Key analyses include strategic and analytical support for business development and overall corporate strategy, valuation, and capital allocation and planning.Key Accountabilities:Develop a deep understanding of Pattern projects, business model, and corporate model in order to accurately perform financial analyses to inform business decisionsCorporate Model Review/Financial Analysis; including valuation, capital strategy, and liquidity Reporting, Process and Deliverable IntegrationCorporate Finance Compliance, Rating Agency, and Investor Relations supportCorporate Finance/Strategic Transaction Support as needed, as well as support for other transactions as neededProvide guidance and mentorship to corporate finance and other finance functions

Qualifications

Experience,/Qualifications/Education RequiredEducationBachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering or related field requiredCFA credential is highly desirable, MBA a plusExperience3-5 years of project or corporate finance transactional experience within a financial firm or energy operating company3-5 years of business reporting, portfolio underwriting, or corporate valuation workTransactional or internal experience with corporate valuations and solid foundation of structured finance and the renewable energy spaceTransactional lead experience in project finance and/or capital markets (first lien debt, tax equity, revolvers, mezzanine capital)Advanced spreadsheet and modeling experience with advanced knowledge of valuing and financing renewable investmentsSkillsStrong analytic, strategic mindset with self-starter attitude and ability to anticipateExcellent at synthesizing data and complex concepts into informed recommendations and concise presentationsAbility to work with others to meet deadlines, effective at engagement and driving results towards common corporate goalsAbility to prioritize, organize, effectively manage time and resourcesExceptional presentation and communication skills are essential and understanding of relevant financial modelling techniquesAbility to work in either a collaborative environment or take on individual projects as neededHigh degree of professionalism and tact in dealing with internal and external business partnersHighly adept at Excel financial modeling, analytic and visualization tool experience a plus (ie, Alteryx, PowerBI, etc)The expected starting pay range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
