Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide in-home therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Responsibilities: Provide occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising OT Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, coordination, and mobility Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies Accurately document patient visits in accordance with Medicare and home health guidelines Communicate patient progress and concerns to supervising OT and interdisciplinary team Qualifications: Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Active Florida COTA license Home health experience preferred Knowledge of Medicare documentation requirements is a plus Familiar with EHR such as Kinnser Strong communication and time management skills Possesses andmaintainscurrent CPR certification Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Benefits: Flexible scheduling Mileage reimbursement This role requires a Level 2 background screening in compliance with Florida AHCA regulations prior to employment. #J-18808-Ljbffr Palms Home Care
