Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Production Clerk to support our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will ensure the accurate flow of materials, maintain inventory integrity, and support production efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Materials & Inventory Management

• Allocate materials to work orders within the ERP system (JDE or similar)

• Manage material replenishment using Kanban systems

• Order materials through internal systems and databases

• Perform cycle counts and support annual physical inventory

• Monitor and resolve inventory discrepancies, including negative inventory

Operations & Reporting

• Track daily production efficiency and performance metrics

• Perform work order reconciliation to ensure accuracy

• Maintain accurate records for inventory and production transactions (SAP/MES/JDE)

• Provide updates and reporting to team leadership

Process Improvement & Coordination

• Identify and escalate inventory or operational issues

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste

• Collaborate with production teams to ensure materials are available and processes run smoothly

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Associate’s degree preferred

• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience in materials, inventory, or production support

Technical Skills

• Experience with ERP systems ( JDE preferred )

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access

• Understanding of inventory control, cycle counting, and work order processes

• Ability to communicate effectively across teams

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, bend, and move throughout the workday

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally

• Exposure to typical manufacturing conditions, including moderate noise and odors

• Possible exposure to manufacturing materials with appropriate safety precautions
