Role Description

Northwestern Mutual is seeking a full-time Financial Advisor for an on-site role based in the Rochester, New York Metropolitan Area. The Financial Advisor will engage clients to provide tailored financial plans, assess their financial goals, and advise on investments, insurance, and other opportunities to help build long-term financial security. Responsibilities include building and maintaining client relationships, crafting personalized financial strategies, managing investment portfolios, keeping up-to-date on financial trends, and achieving client satisfaction through results-driven solutions.

**This is a profession that can be taught and coached. Prior financial services experience is not required. We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with others, communicate effectively, are motivated to learn, and are willing to challenge themselves to grow. Qualifications

• Proficiency in client relationship management, communication skills, and active listening abilities
• Solid organizational and business development skills, with the ability to execute strategic financial plans
• Experience in wealth management, financial advisory, marketing, business development, etc.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Marketing, etc. (willing to discuss)
• Commitment to understanding and complying with industry regulations and ethical standards
• Sales background is a plus
• Certifications such as CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) or ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant) are a plus
• Proficiency in financial analysis, risk assessment, and identifying growth opportunities for clients is a plus
