Portfolio Owner - Data and Analytics

Position Overview Full Time Permanent Shift: Hybrid Salary: $113,500 - $170,300, plus 10% annual bonus Location: Columbus, OH NiSource is one of the largest fully regulated utility companies in the U.S. The Data and Analytics Portfolio Owner oversees the entire portfolio of business intelligence and data science products, acting as the primary liaison between Data Science, Business Intelligence, and business units. The role manages project lifecycles, facilitates collaboration, and ensures projects meet their goals within time and budget constraints. It also defines and executes processes to improve product quality, track value and impact, and enhance the team's responsiveness to changes or issues. Responsibilities Supports the complete portfolio of data science and business intelligence projects, ensuring that the broader team delivers projects in accordance with requirements and milestones. Establishes and maintains a catalog of data science and business intelligence projects, supporting ongoing maintenance activities. Defines and supports the intake process and measurement of value provided to the business. Ensures measures are taken in projects to increase quality and mitigate risk, including risk analyses, impact assessment, needs assessment, requirements signoff, code reviews, test planning and execution, fallback plans, and deployment plans. Maintains communication channels to facilitate engagement between Data & Analytics and the broader organization. Measures and reports project/program performance, milestones, and other project information to stakeholders and management on a regular basis, including escalating issues that require management attention. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience as a project manager or portfolio owner. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years overseeing technical projects. 1+ year of business analyst experience. Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) – PMI. Prior experience in Jira.
