Software EngineerWe are seeking a Sr UI Developer to support a major Army program called BITS. The BITS program focuses on modernizing the network that enables Army operations. This program is part of the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) initiative, which aims to leverage advanced technology to enhance the Army's communication systems and overall capabilities.ResponsibilitiesCraft user-centric web applications and interfaces utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Apply principles of responsive design to ensure optimal user experience across devices.Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and back-end developers to create cohesive applications.Enhance application performance for speed and scalability.Write code that is clean, maintainable, and reusable.Identify and resolve front-end issues through debugging and troubleshooting.Stay abreast of the latest advancements in front-end technologies.Engage in agile development methodologies.Maintain and debug existing applications.Reverse engineer as needed.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree and 6+ years of UI Development experienceExperience with JavaScript, Node, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js)Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and PHPActive TS/SCI clearanceAdditional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of CSS preprocessors (e.g., SASS, Less)Understanding of responsive design principlesExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git)Experience with front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Parcel)Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress)Experience with AWSDeveloping server-side logic and APIsManaging databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB)Work EnvironmentFully onsite with customer at Ft. Belvoir.
