Accounting Clerk (Temp-to-Hire) Location: Ventura County Area Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite (Monday-Friday) Pay: $25/hour Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire A well-established educational organization is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional or administrative candidate looking to grow within a supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist with accounts payable processing and weekly check runs Support accounts receivable and general accounting functions Enter and maintain financial records within the ERP system Provide front-office support, including answering phones and assisting visitors Perform general administrative and office duties as needed Partner closely with the accounting team on daily financial operations Qualifications 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration experience preferred Experience with accounts payable strongly desired Strong Excel skills and comfort learning new software systems ERP experience preferred (Sage, MIP, or similar systems a plus) Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to successfully pass a background check Ideal Candidate Eager to learn and grow professionally Strong attention to detail and accuracy Positive attitude with a willingness to assist across departments Looking for a long-term opportunity with career advancement potential If you're a sharp, motivated professional seeking an opportunity to build your accounting and administrative career, we'd love to hear from you.
