Sales Associate (Part-Time) - Perry Ellis

The Sales Associate's primary function is to sell and promote Perry Ellis merchandise through execution of Perry Ellis customer service standards. Their duties include greeting customers when they enter the store, helping customers find specific products or showing them how to use them and ringing up customer purchases on the POS register.

Responsibilities include:

• Interacting with customers in a courteous, friendly manner (e.g., maintains eye contact, smiles).
• Generating maximum sales potential in accordance with the Perry Ellis customer service standards.
• Building repeat customer base through excellent PE Loyalty Program data capture.
• Maintaining strong knowledge regarding product, promotions, and special events in order to communicate to customers more effectively.
• Consistently fostering a positive store experience by treating all customers and staff members in a fair and consistent manner.
• Effectively maintaining floor coverage; acknowledging every customer; treating customers with priority over assigned tasks.
• Consistently being productive throughout the entire shift (e.g., effectively uses idle time to replenish products, maintain visual displays, engage with customers, etc.).
• Consistently reporting to work on time.
• Demonstrating flexibility with his/her schedule.
• Understanding individual and store sales goals.
• Following all operational policies and procedures.
• Following guidance from management to execute visual standards, recovery and replenishment.

Requirements include:

• Energetic and positive attitude.
• Retail experience is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Customer service-oriented - outgoing, friendly, and personable with a positive attitude.

Salary offered will be at the discretion of the Company and based on a candidate's qualifications. For this position, the base salary will be between $17.00-17.50 hourly. Other benefits associated with the position for eligible associates are listed above.
