Senior Health Actuarial Consulting RoleClient-facing health actuarial consultingMore client-facing than a reserving cycle role, with engagement liaison and mentoring duties distinguishing it from a purely technical modeling position.Senior Health actuarial consulting role in KPMG's Audit practice in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. You'll support group and health insurance clients through reserving, risk adjustment, actuarial value calculations, experience studies, modeling, and U.S. GAAP statutory reporting. The role also involves client communication, mentoring, and coordinating multiple projects.Requirements:Must have:Minimum three years of recent actuarial work experience in a professional services environment working with an actuarial software packageMinimum one year of experience with U.S. GAAP statutory financial reportingMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorshipStrongly preferred:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, financial analysis, insurance, and mathematicsPassed two actuarial examsAbility to work on multiple projects and prioritize work without intensive direction from supervisorsStrong understanding of group and health insurance productsExcellent working knowledge of spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel and data analytic software such as RAbility to travel as necessaryExperience with financial reporting or modeling Medicaid, Medicare, ACA, group health, long term care, and/or supplemental health productsSkills & Domain:Tools Excel Domain Group health insurance reserving and valuation Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, ACA U.S. GAAP statutory financial reporting
