Environmental Services Manager (ESM)
Salaried: $54,080 - $58,240 annually (depending on experience)
Equivalent Hourly: $26- $28
Shift: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Days

Northgate Health Care Facility is looking to add a Environmental Services Manager to its team. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead, train, supervise, and schedule maintenance staff and outside contractors to support facility operations
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs, equipment testing, repairs, and maintenance documentation
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, Life Safety Codes, infection control practices, and all applicable regulations
• Conduct and document fire drills, disaster drills, and safety inspections
• Develop, maintain, and update emergency preparedness and mutual aid plans
• Identify facility maintenance needs, coordinate repairs, and oversee equipment and building improvements
• Order supplies and equipment while maintaining budget awareness and purchasing compliance
• Provide staff education and in-service training related to safety, emergency preparedness, and facility operations
• Attend management meetings, safety meetings, and educational programs as directed
• Collaborate with department leaders to ensure a safe and efficient environment for residents and staff
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Administrator

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree or graduate of a building trades training program preferred
• Minimum experience requirement: 1 year of maintenance experience; 3–5 years of supervisory maintenance experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of facility maintenance, building systems, and preventive maintenance programs
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Life Safety Codes, emergency preparedness, and infection control practices
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and team management skills
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service abilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively to urgent maintenance issues
• Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, staff, contractors, and regulatory agencies
