Psychiatric Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse providing specialized psychiatric care to diverse patient populations in a compassionate and professional manner. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care within a behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' mental health needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
• Provide, coordinate, and monitor psychiatric nursing care for individuals and groups.
• Educate patients and families on discharge and after-care plans to ensure smooth transitions.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment for patients and staff in both individual and group settings.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and report any risks or adverse outcomes to physicians.
• Lead and delegate staff assignments, fostering a team-oriented environment, and promote staff development.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Michigan nursing license with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Possess prior clinical experience, preferably in psychiatric or emergency settings.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and emotional stamina to manage complex patient needs.
• Exhibit excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to provide culturally inclusive care in a diverse community setting.
• May require a valid Michigan driver's license for transportation-related duties.
