What You’ll Do

As Assistant Director of Nursing, you will partner closely with the Director of Nursing to lead daily clinical operations and ensure excellence across all units. You will:

• Lead from the floor —round daily, coach staff, and elevate clinical performance
• Drive quality & compliance —ensure care delivery meets regulatory standards and best practices
• Strengthen infection prevention efforts —oversee surveillance and promote a safe environment
• Support admissions & transitions —ensure residents are appropriately placed and care teams are prepared
• Own clinical quality —audit documentation, plans of care, and identify opportunities for improvement
• Respond to real-time issues —review daily reports, investigate concerns, and ensure timely resolution
• Prepare for and lead through survey —guide teams with confidence and maintain readiness at all times
• Develop your team —mentor, coach, and build capability across nursing staff
• Step in as needed —serve as Director of Nursing in their absence

This Assistant Director of Nursing role is key to maintaining high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and strong clinical leadership across the organization.

What You Bring

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (PA), in good standing
• 3–5+ years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in a role such as Assistant Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or similar (long-term care preferred)
• Strong knowledge of clinical operations, survey readiness, and quality improvement
• A leadership style that is visible, accountable, and team-oriented
