Vascular Surgery - Nurse PractitionerAstrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a locum tenens assignment in Springfield, Oregon. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.Responsibilities for a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP):Provide Advanced Practice Provider (APP) services in Vascular Surgery with a 1.0 FTE commitmentWork 12-hour call shifts (0700-1700 or 1700-0700) Monday-Friday and/or 24-hour call shifts (0700-0700) Monday-Friday or weekendsReport at the beginning of each 0700 start shift to perform handoff, rounding, and related tasksComplete a minimum of 6 call shifts per monthProvide coverage for both inpatient and outpatient settingsPerform rounding and admissions for inpatient care (36-bed unit)Manage an average of 15-20 vascular/endovascular patients per dayFirst assist in the OR and assist with in-clinic proceduresCollaborate with supervising MD/DO; provider will not work soloMaintain current BLS and ACLS certifications (from American Heart Association or American Red Cross)Utilize Epic EMR system for all clinical documentationProvide documentation of clinical services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 monthsSubmit case logs for surgical cases from the last 24 months, including documentation specifying first, second, or third assist rolesProvide specific documentation of training and competency for the NP privilege of First Assist in Surgery, including type and number of procedures and primary operator informationAdhere to COVID-19 vaccine requirement (no exemptions)Comply with all credentialing, privileging, and compliance documentation requirementsBenefits for a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP):Weekly pay every FridayComprehensive Professional Malpractice Insurance24/7 Recruitment SupportFull-service Credentialing and Corporate Travel TeamReferral Bonus up to $1,500
