About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Global Program Lead for Neurology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end disease strategy, leading a team of Global Program Leads, and ensuring the efficient execution of the Neurology portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of the drug development process, particularly in the late development space, and the ability to shape and maximize the value of the portfolio in partnership with various functions, including research, commercialization, and product development. The VP, Global Program Lead will also be accountable for R&D business development activities, managing the disease portfolio budget, and driving the execution of the portfolio strategy through inspirational leadership. Candidates for this role at the company should hold an advanced degree (MD, PhD, DVM, PharmD, or equivalent) and have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the drug development process, with a proven track record of leadership in academic or industry settings. The role demands expertise in drug development principles, regulatory expectations, and a strong background in basic biology, pharmaceutical optimization, translational medicine, and clinical pharmacology. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams, manage large organizations, and work effectively across global matrices. Strong business and financial acumen, as well as the ability to make data-driven decisions and influence senior leaders, are essential.
