Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes. Collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver timely, efficient, and evidence-based emergency services.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate total nursing care for diverse patient populations, from newborns to geriatrics.
• Participate in patient and family teaching to promote understanding of medical conditions and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies for safe nursing practice.
• Recognize and respond effectively to emergency situations, providing critical interventions as needed.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• Possess at least 2 years of experience in emergency nursing.
• Maintain current ACLS, PALS, TNCC, or ENPC certifications (additional certifications such as BLS, NCC, or PCBLS preferred).
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a diverse patient population.
