Correctional Medicine Associates has the following opportunity: Nurse Practitioner - Trousdale Turner Correctional Center in Hartsville, TN Qualifications and Responsibilities: The Nurse Practitioner, under the supervision of the Physician, provides advanced nursing services and patient care in the facility's medical program. Provides comprehensive nursing care to include, but not limited to, executing physician's orders, dispensing and administering medications and performing examinations and treatment of patients; performs a variety of procedures and treatments. Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. Records physical findings, formulates prognosis based on patient's condition and discusses case with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan. Recommends drugs and other forms of treatment within the scope of licensure. Must have active Tennessee license, DEA and BLS.
