As a Support Helper I, you play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of patient care services at GRMC. You¿ll assist professional hospital staff, provide essential support to patients and their families, and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient healthcare environment. Your work directly impacts the quality of care and the overall patient experience.

What You Will Do

• Assist in transporting, transferring, and moving patients safely and efficiently.
• Deliver equipment, specimens, patients, and records throughout the hospital.
• Maintain inventory in stock rooms, carts, and assigned areas.
• Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning rooms, bathrooms, and halls.
• Support general maintenance and clerical tasks as directed.
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures for quality and safety.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• Ability to lift, move, and assist patients, including objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work independently.
• Physical capability to perform essential duties, including bending, stooping, and reaching.
