Position Overview:

Scispot is looking for a creative and technically-minded AI Agents & Automation Lead to transform how we work. You'll be the architect behind intelligent automation systems that make our operations faster, smarter, and more scalable, both internally and for our customers.

If you love turning repetitive tasks into seamless workflows and building AI-powered solutions that actually make a difference, this role is for you. You'll work directly with our founding team to build automation infrastructure that touches every part of our business—from sales outreach to project management to customer reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build AI Agent Solutions: Design and deploy AI agents using platforms like Zapier, n8n, and Azure AI to improve operational efficiency across teams.
• Automate Business Operations: Create intelligent workflows for outbound email campaigns, project management, CRM processes, and reporting systems.
• Process Design & Documentation: Develop SOPs, process maps, and clear documentation that make automations maintainable and scalable.
• Cross-Functional Impact: Work with sales, product, engineering, and customer success teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions.
• System Integration: Connect tools and platforms to create seamless data flows and eliminate manual handoffs.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor automation performance, troubleshoot issues, and iterate on solutions based on team feedback and business needs.
• Strategic Planning: Identify high-impact automation opportunities and prioritize initiatives that deliver maximum value.

Qualifications:

• Automation Experience: 2-4 years working with automation platforms (Zapier, Make, n8n) or building workflow solutions.
• AI Tools Familiarity: Experience with AI agent frameworks, LLM APIs, or AI automation tools is highly preferred.
• Technical Aptitude: Comfortable with APIs, webhooks, and basic scripting (Python, JavaScript) is a plus but not required.
• Systems Thinking: You naturally see how processes connect and can design elegant solutions that improve entire workflows.
• Problem Solver: Resourceful and solution-oriented—if one approach doesn't work, you quickly find another path.
• Clear Communicator: Ability to explain technical concepts simply and create documentation that others can follow.
• Self-Driven: High energy, proactive attitude, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Bonus: Biotech or life sciences experience is a plus but not required.
