Service Manager Job Responsibilities

As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the service department, including customer satisfaction, employee development, operational efficiency, and profitability.

• Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing service team
• Drive customer satisfaction and retention through exceptional service experiences
• Monitor and improve department performance metrics, including CSI, sales, gross profit, and productivity
• Foster a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Partner with Parts, Sales, and Fixed Operations teams to achieve dealership goals
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, warranty requirements, and dealership policies
• Manage workflow, scheduling, and department efficiency to maximize productivity
• Develop and execute strategies that increase revenue and profitability

Service Manager Benefits and Compensation

The Service Manager position is paid on a pay scale that may include one or more of the following compensation elements:

• Annual compensation, which varies based on experience between $120,000 to $150,000
• Bonus compensation may be earned based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.

Actual compensation within this range will be determined by job-related factors such as experience, qualifications, performance, and business needs. Commission compensation is not guaranteed.

Qualifications

Service Manager Qualifications

• Previous Service Manager experience in an automotive dealership preferred
• Strong understanding of dealership service operations and fixed operations management
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams, experience in Reynolds preferred
• Experience managing budgets, profitability, and departmental performance metrics
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and customer service skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with dealership management systems and service software
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
