Tax Accountant

Job Titl e: Tax Accountant
Location: Daytona Beach, FL (Onsite)
Pay Rate: 90K - 120K (DOE)
Hours: Full-Time

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 5–8 years of progressive tax accounting experience
• Strong tax and accounting background
• CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA preferred
• Familiarity with tax research tools
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Master’s degree in Taxation preferred
• Real estate industry experience is a plus

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to support federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning activities. The Tax Accountant will analyze financial information, convert book-basis financial statements to tax-basis reporting, prepare tax returns and schedules, conduct tax research, and collaborate with management and external tax advisors.

Responsibilities:

• Convert financial statements from book basis to tax basis and reconcile differences
• Prepare federal tax returns and supporting schedules
• Prepare Forms 1120, 1120S, 1120H, 1065, 1040, and Form 5500
• Prepare intangible, tangible personal property, sales/use, trust, and gift tax returns
• Research federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
• Assist with tax planning strategies and compliance initiatives
• Analyze financial data to identify tax implications and opportunities
• Coordinate with external tax consultants, auditors, and regulatory agencies
• Monitor tax law changes and recommend actions to maintain compliance
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and tax information
