Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population across a broad range of Medical Surgical diagnoses
• Perform and manage clinical skills including wound care, wound vac therapy, chest tube management, and feeding tube care
• Administer blood products and manage PICC lines and peripheral IV access
• Apply high flow nasal cannula and standard nasal cannula oxygen delivery as indicated
• Maintain strict isolation precautions in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as operationally needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or a valid Compact state license
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system required
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing and SBAR communication framework

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Experience working in a high-census environment with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
