Senior Hardware Development EngineerWe are seeking a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team developing advanced industrial automation control systems. You will work in a supportive environment that values knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement, with ongoing mentorship and opportunities to expand your scope and impact.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate within an agile team to design and develop industrial automation products, including system architecture and hardware verificationDesign, program, analyse, and troubleshoot electronic hardware prototypesPrepare clear and thorough design documentation and test reportsLead technical initiatives such as researching new technologies, adopting new circuit design tools, and performing root-cause analysis of hardware failuresPartner with engineering peers to implement test automation and design simulationBuild strong cross-functional relationships to support the full product development lifecycleMentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and standardsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical disciplineAt least 5 years of hands-on experience in cross-functional hardware product developmentStrong attention to detail and a high sense of ownershipExcellent written and verbal communication skillsGrowth mindset with a willingness to learn, mentor others, and expand technical responsibilityLegal authorisation to work in the United States (Our client sponsorship is not available for this role)Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical disciplineExperience with design capture tools and the ability to read and interpret schematicsIn-depth knowledge of circuit theory and operation, including microprocessors, digital logic, analogue and/or DC power conversion, and programmable devices (CPLDs, FPGAs)Hands-on experience with hardware test equipment such as debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analysersKnowledge of industrial control systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and/or functional safety designExperience working in a scaled agile environmentFamiliarity with functional safety standards (e.g. IEC 61508) and/or EMC standards (e.g. IEC 61000)
