Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position is for a 12-hour day shift, requiring commitment to work 2 out of every 3 weekends and holiday coverage as needed.

Shift Information

• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Shift Timing: 7 AM - 7 PM
• Weekends: Required 2 out of every 3 weekends

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in a medical surgical setting.
• Current certifications required:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS)
• Experience in a Rural Critical Access Hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Medical Surgical RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients, including but not limited to the following:

• Assessing patients' health status and needs.
• Developing and implementing patient care plans.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitoring patient progress and responding to changes in condition.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Additional Information

This role includes a requirement to provide holiday coverage as needed. Candidates must hold valid ACLS and BLS certifications and demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, rural healthcare environment.
