Medical Assistant (MA) - Specialty Medicine Practice

Full-time, Temp-to-Perm opportunity

Location: Berwyn, PA

Candidates must be able to commute to this location in 30 minutes or less

Program: Local Contract Allied Health

Shift Details

• Core hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Work hours may range between 6:45 AM and 6:00 PM
• Tuesdays have extended hours until 8:00 PM
• The MA must work until the Physician has completed care with all patients and may need to stay beyond their scheduled end time
• Schedules are adjusted as needed in cases of shifts worked over 8 hours
• Shift schedules are released one week in advance by the practice manager

Position Summary

• The Medical Assistant (MA) assists the practice manager and physicians in maintaining a patient/customer focus
• Supports the delivery of high-quality care
• Shares a passion for patient and customer centered care
• Assists in meeting or exceeding patient satisfaction and financial/operational targets
• Provides patient care through performance of patient preparation, interviewing, technical tasks, and patient/family communication

Candidate Requirements

• Candidates must be interested in converting to a permanent position temp-to-perm only; candidates not open to permanent placement will not be considered
• Must require minimal training and be able to contribute to the practice immediately
• Previous Epic experience preferred
• Must be able to commute to Berwyn, PA within 30 minutes

Interview Process

• Two rounds of interviews:
• Round 1: Virtual (Microsoft Teams)
• Round 2: In-person

Training

• 4-hour EMR training on Fridays
• Training is conducted virtually

Compliance Requirements

• All compliance documents are due the Wednesday before the start date
• Candidates must be ready to begin the compliance process immediately upon accepting the position
• Medicals and drug screens must be initiated within 72 hours of accepting the award
• Candidates who do not begin compliance requirements within 72 hours are at risk of having their contract cancelled
