CADD Drafter

Drafter Position

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI), a leading power engineering consultant firm, is seeking a motivated individual to join our team in Augusta, ME as a drafter.

The successful candidates will be responsible for drafting and design support to multiple design teams involved with conceptual, preliminary, and final design of station projects 4.16 kV through 765 kV. Candidates will perform a variety of assignments, including development of substation physical drawings, substation electrical drawings, and schematic diagrams; development of materials list and other duties as needed.

Minimum Requirements: College degree in an acceptable curriculum, two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design, or a minimum of two years concentrated on the job experience in computer-sided drafting/design field. Proficient in AutoCAD and possess a strong computer aptitude in a Windows environment; MicroStation experience a plus. Proven effective verbal and written communication skills; proven excellent level of interpersonal skills; ability to work individually and on a team. Must be detail oriented and possess a high level of organizational skills. Proven ability to exercise independent judgment. Compensation Range: $23 - $34/hr.
