Assistant Warehouse Manager

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Warehouse Assistant HOURS: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pmLOCATION: Schiller Park, IllinoisCOMPENSATION: Base Salary + Benefits KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee pulling and packaging teams to ensure orders are picked and shipped accurately and on timeManage receiving operations to ensure material is checked in and stocked efficientlyReview pulling reports and address accuracy issues as neededOversee maintenance of warehouse equipment and vehiclesConduct and document monthly safety meetingsPrint and distribute order and shipping documents for warehouse processingPush completed orders through invoicing in the ERP systemCoordinate freight pickups and communicate with carriersInspect outgoing shipments and verify against documentationAssist with routing of local deliveriesOperate a forklift to pick, transport, and package materialsMaintain internal record-keeping systemsEnsure proper packaging procedures for safe transport of materialsMaintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouseProvide tracking updates to the sales teamResolve delivery and shipping issues as they ariseAssist with inventory management, cycle counts, and ERP reconciliationLead physical inventory processesCross-train across all warehouse functions and drive process improvementsSKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:Previous warehouse and leadership experience requiredForklift experience is a plusClean driving record requiredMust be 20+ years oldMust be able to pass a drug screen and background checkWilling to travel to Houston, Texas, if necessaryStrong attendance, punctuality and reliability (this is a big deal here)Ability to delegate, lead, and hold team members accountableHands-on mindset—willing to jump in wherever neededStrong sense of ownership and urgencyTeam-oriented with a service mindsetComfortable in a fast-paced, high-accuracy environmentAdditional Requirements:Must pass a drug screen and background checkMust have a clean Motor Vehicle Record
