Backend Web Developer

Position: Senior Backend Web Developer Industry: IT services Location: NYC Salary range: US$100k - $135k base with stock options Job Description We are looking for a Senior Backend Web Developer to join our fintech startup. The role requires extensive coding expertise and a passion for cutting‑edge technology, especially blockchain, for securities and trading. Requirements Extensive experience with Javascript, CSS, HTML; experience with jQuery. Experience with modern web frameworks such as Angular, Ember, and React.js. 1.5+ years experience with Python and Flask (or 2.5+ years experience with a similar web framework and some experience with Python). Extensive experience with SQL, APIs (REST, JSON‑RPC, etc.), Git/GitHub (or similar RCS). 1+ years experience with Linux (Ubuntu and Bash). Live in the United States and be open to relocating to NYC metro area within 6‑9 months. Highly Recommended Previous UI/UX design experience. Experience with Test‑Driven Development, unit testing and functional testing. Scrum/XP/Agile methodology experience. Nice to Have Previous Bitcoin or blockchain development experience and knowledge of public‑key cryptography. Experience with RabbitMQ, Celery, PostgreSQL, Redis, HAProxy, Nginx, Jquery, Selenium, Travis, Docker, fig, Ansible, Wiki/ReStructuredText, AWS, NoSQL (Mongo, Cassandra, etc.), Pingdom. Previous FinTech experience – working with financial systems UI/UX.
