Position: Sonographer – Adult Echocardiography / TAVR $$ SN$$
Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Shift: Days – 4x10s (Thursday–Sunday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Duration: 13 weeks

Job Duties

• Perform high-quality Adult Echocardiography studies according to ASE and IAC guidelines.
• Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort throughout the exam.
• Perform TTE studies, including pre-TAVR evaluations for patients with severe to critical aortic stenosis.
• Carefully review patient charts, previous reports, and imaging before performing examinations.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in valvular assessment, spectral Doppler, and Pedoff imaging.
• Perform contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.
• Recognize abnormalities and respond appropriately to critical findings.
• Ensure complete and technically accurate studies and notify interpreting physicians of relevant findings.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of completed examinations.
• Maintain equipment, inventory, and supplies within the assigned area.

Requirements

• Proven TAVR TTE experience is required
• Must have actively scanned severe-to-critical aortic stenosis patients preparing for TAVR procedures
• Previous experience at a valve center or structural heart facility is strongly preferred
• Minimum 200 documented inpatient echocardiography cases required
• Strong Adult Echo and inpatient echocardiography experience
• Proficiency with spectral Doppler and Pedoff techniques
• Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies
• ARDMS or CCI registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer credential
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Ability to work independently and respond quickly to critical findings
• TEE and Stress Echo experience preferred
• 3D Echo experience preferred
• Experience with TAVR, Mitral Clip, HCM, VAD, and closure device protocols preferred
• Experience with Philips iE33 and EPIQ systems preferred
• Epic experience preferred
