About the Position

• The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical-Surgical Unit provides direct and individualized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients.
• The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective outcomes.
• Responsibilities include medication administration, patient education, monitoring vital signs, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and responding to emergencies.
• The RN will document care using Epic and may be required to float to units of equal or lesser acuity.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year inpatient Med/Surg experience
• Charting System: Epic (recent experience within 6 months required)
• Certifications: BLS required
• Skills:
• Cardiac monitoring & emergency response
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Isolation precautions
• Peripheral line care/management
• Patient Ratio: 1:6 (Days & Nights)
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
