Multi‑Axis CNC Mill Operator‑Programmer (Rail Components)
Do you speak G-Code and M-Code? Are you at your best turning complex GD&T drawings into finished parts that fit the first time? If so, Atlantic Track & Turnout Co.—an employee-owned leader serving railroads, transit, and crane runway markets for 60+ years—wants to meet you in Memphis, Tennessee.
What you’ll do- Run CNC milling centers to manufacture precision parts for specialty trackwork.
- Read/interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T to plan machining steps.
- Learn to make minor edits to CNC programs and fine-tune speeds and feeds.
- Perform setup and tooling changes with supervision as needed.
- Use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and a CMM to validate features.
- Load and unload workpieces using an overhead crane safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and keep a clean, organized work area.
- Assist with component assembly using hand and power tools.
- Complete required quality documentation and support team goals with a positive attitude.
- On-site in Memphis, Tennessee.
- First shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
- Full-time, direct-hire with Atlantic Track.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC, etc.).
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read CNC programs and complex prints.
- Foundational mechanical knowledge and shop math.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to work on-site in Memphis.
- Associate’s or technical degree.
- Experience in the railroad sector.
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour training.
- Forklift certification.
- Overhead crane operating experience.
- CNC Tooling; CNC Machine Setup & Changeover
- CNC Programming; G-Code; M-Code
- Tape measure reading; precision metrology; CMM
- CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC) (Fanuc)
- CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) (Haas, Fanuc)
- CAM Software (Mastercam)
