Multi‑Axis CNC Mill Operator‑Programmer (Rail Components)

What you’ll do

• Run CNC milling centers to manufacture precision parts for specialty trackwork.
• Read/interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T to plan machining steps.
• Learn to make minor edits to CNC programs and fine-tune speeds and feeds.
• Perform setup and tooling changes with supervision as needed.
• Use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and a CMM to validate features.
• Load and unload workpieces using an overhead crane safely and efficiently.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance and keep a clean, organized work area.
• Assist with component assembly using hand and power tools.
• Complete required quality documentation and support team goals with a positive attitude.

Schedule, location, and employment type

• On-site in Memphis, Tennessee.
• First shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
• Full-time, direct-hire with Atlantic Track.

Bring this background

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC, etc.).
• 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read CNC programs and complex prints.
• Foundational mechanical knowledge and shop math.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to work on-site in Memphis.

It’s a plus if you have

• Associate’s or technical degree.
• Experience in the railroad sector.
• OSHA 10 or 30-hour training.
• Forklift certification.
• Overhead crane operating experience.

• CAM Software (Mastercam)
