This full-time, contract role offers the chance to work closely with a manageable caseload—typically around seven students—within a cross-categorical special education classroom setting. Your focus will be on fostering academic growth and providing guidance on mild self-regulation skills, empowering each student to thrive in their learning journey.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) to address each student’s strengths and areas for growth
• Collaborating with fellow educators, support staff, and families to create a supportive, inclusive classroom
• Utilizing a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students in academic content
• Monitoring progress, adapting instructional approaches, and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting the development of self-regulation and social/emotional skills as needed
• Participating in team meetings, professional development sessions, and school events

What we’re looking for:

• Special Education Teacher certification, with endorsement to work with high school students
• Strong understanding of cross-categorical teaching strategies
• Experience managing small caseloads and collaborating across disciplines
• Ability to build rapport and motivate students
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing, and equitable learning environment

This position is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, with a 37.5-hour work week, set to begin for the NSY 26/27 academic year. You will find dedicated support from administrators and colleagues who share your commitment to student success.
