Position Overview We are looking for a Managing Partner who has the desire to make a real difference in people’s lives and wants to be a true business partner in a high‑growth, high‑performance organization. This is more than a General Manager role — this is an ownership mindset role. Our Managing Partners lead from the front. They build strong teams, drive exceptional member experiences, and operate their club like it’s their own business. What You’ll Do As the Managing Partner, you’ll be responsible for building and developing high‑performing teams through proactive recruiting, hiring, and coaching. You’ll manage the day‑to‑day operations by setting clear expectations, overseeing training standards, and driving performance to meet key business objectives. With a focus on member retention and experience, you’ll ensure timely resolutions, maintain a clean and fully operational facility, and keep the team aligned with daily, weekly, and monthly goals. You’ll also oversee payroll, scheduling, inventory, and compliance—ensuring the club runs smoothly, profitably, and in alignment with our brand standards. What Success Looks Like Build a high‑performance team through networking, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring managers and team members Be responsible for the successful and profitable operations of a gym Deliver an exceptional member experience with rapid issue resolution, high retention/satisfaction, and a clean/crisp facility with all things working Exhibit full business ownership—driving people, culture, financial results, margin optimization, and brand standards About You You lead with conviction and align teams around shared goals and help maintain engagement and direction across the team. You approach difficult decisions objectively while sustaining performance standards. You think ahead, address issues early, and perform well in fast‑moving environments. Motivated by meaningful goals and sustained challenges, you anticipate next steps, create clarity around roles and accountability, and hold yourself and others accountable for results and continuous improvement. You show strong endurance and focus, particularly in complex or long‑term work. Responsibilities Build strong teams by networking, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring managers and team members Directly manage the team, including setting weekly management schedules and assigning areas of responsibility to managers Maintain training standards and coach and develop team members to drive sales performance Consistently develop and coach team members and managers, including training in employment policies and practices Conduct staff meetings and set staff goals Grow the business to profitability and energize the team around daily, weekly, and monthly objectives Ensure member resolutions are done timely as member retention is key Monitor scoreboard performance of the staff to meet or exceed expected KPI standards Maintain a crisp, clean facility with equipment operating 100% of the time Manage employee payroll and scheduling to keep the club adequately staffed at all times Command of all offerings, amenities, and equipment utilization Ensure and monitor compliance and accuracy with all policies, procedures, and standards Monitor inventory in the club and ensure timely restocking Required Qualifications Minimum 4 years of fitness facility or service‑oriented management experience Demonstrated experience owning and managing a location or department P&L, including budgeting, expense control, and driving revenue to achieve or exceed financial targets Experience supervising a team of at least 15 employees Experience with business operations such as finance, administration, and labor management CPR/AED certification required (obtainable within 30 days of hire) Ability to take assertive action to accomplish objectives, innovate and solve problems Knowledge of key metrics and drivers to grow business Proficiency with Microsoft Suite or similar software Ability to invest financially in opportunity Physical Requirements This is a physical role requiring the employee to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may require standing or bending for prolonged work hours Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required Bachelor degree in business management or related field preferred Travel No travel required Benefits Salaried Flexible PTO Paid Holidays Subsidized health insurance coverage (health, dental, vision) for full‑time positions Employer‑Paid Basic Life and AD&D HSA Short‑term disability Voluntary Supplemental Life Insurance for employee, child, and spouse Free gym membership Equal Opportunity Employer UDT is an Equal Opportunity Employer, a drug‑free workplace, and complies with ADA regulations as applicable.
