Quick Facts Location: Springfield, OH Start Date: 05/28/2026 End Date/Duration: Ongoing for at least 2 months, with potential sporadic coverage afterward Shift: Call coverage (24/7 availability) Hours/week: Varies based on coverage needs Employment Type: Locum/Contract License/Certifications: Active medical license required; board-certified or eligible in Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery preferred Experience: Proven experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $19.50 Benefits: Competitive pay package Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2 employment) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements (when applicable) What You’ll Do Perform a variety of cardiothoracic, vascular, and general surgeries, including coronary artery bypass, valve repairs, aneurysm repairs, and lung resections Manage complex surgical cases such as congenital defects and endarterectomy procedures Provide perioperative care and ventilation management for adult patients Conduct procedures including bronchoscopy and chest wall/pleural surgeries Collaborate with onsite team and utilize electronic medical records (EPIC) system Follow hospital policies to ensure patient safety and high-quality care What You Need Valid license to practice medicine in Ohio Board certification or eligibility in Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery Minimum of 2+ years surgical experience in relevant specialties Strong surgical, clinical, and communication skills Ability to work independently and adapt to the hospital environment About the Assignment This assignment is with a full-service acute care hospital in Springfield, Ohio, serving a diverse adult patient population. The facility features 250 beds, including a 60-bed ICU, onsite labs, and imaging services. You’ll provide essential surgical coverage in a collaborative setting, supporting patient care and surgical outcomes.
