Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing

Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing Cornerstone University, a theologically conservative Christian University located in Grand Rapids, Michigan invites applications for a full time, 9/10-month faculty position in Business Management and Marketing beginning fall, 2026. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Other responsibilities include scholarly engagement in the candidate’s specialization area, academic advising, assessment of student learning, student recruitment and other departmental duties as assigned. The successful candidate is eligible for academic rank, likely beginning as an Assistant Professor, if qualifications are met. REPORTS TO: Dean of the School of Business and Innovation LOCATION: On‑Site, Grand Rapids, Michigan Professional and Academic Qualifications Possess a relevant master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred). Provide evidence of scholarly potential and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Teach general and upper‑level management and marketing courses. Engage in scholarly activities in specialization area, student recruitment, course and program assessment, and other departmental duties as assigned. Cornerstone’s School of Business & Innovation curriculum provides a Christ‑focused education that is dedicated to sophisticated Christian Worldview integration and to experiential learning. Faculty work together to mentor and teach students the complexities of the subject matter while connecting them to career‑ready relationships through internships, networking events, and more. Salary and Start Date Annual salary of $65,000 - $70,000 for a 9/10‑month faculty contract, commensurate with qualifications. A full benefit package including health plans, disability coverage, a 403(b) retirement plan, and dependent tuition remission is included. Start date: August 2026. Requirements and Responsibilities Teaching Faculty are expected to advance student competency in the discipline, using diverse instructional methods. The typical full‑time teaching load is 300 student credit hours each semester, totaling 600 student credit hours per academic year. Faculty may deliver courses in both on‑ground and online modalities. Spiritual Modeling and Mentoring Faculty are expected to contribute to students’ spiritual development, vocational direction, and academic success by being accessible, modeling healthy relationships, and integrating a Christ‑centered worldview with academic disciplines. Scholarly Engagement Faculty are expected to engage in scholarship appropriate to their discipline and professional research interests. Service Faculty participate constructively in campus life, including regular attendance at church, mentoring, meetings, and committees. External service is encouraged to share disciplinary expertise with the broader community. Physical Requirements Faculty must be able to navigate the campus to teach classes, labs, or clinicals, use computer equipment, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
