Overview New Free-Standing ER Opening in Mount Pleasant. The role supports patient care in a fast‑paced environment with growth opportunities. Responsibilities Coordinate and deliver high quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with the department’s requirements and state/specialty scope and standards of practice. Collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide individualized, comprehensive and compassionate care using nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, and promote the organization’s vision, mission and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes. Assess patient pain regularly and ensure effective pain management. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Document the administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly. Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve them proactively. Teach patients/families/caregivers about medical condition, status, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures, translating complex terminology. Educate on non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention and lifestyle changes. Prepare patients and families/caregivers for future self‑management. Qualifications Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or possessing an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
