Job Description: Job purpose The purpose of the Billing Clerk is to assist the billing office in day to day activities in a rapidly growing Oncology Practice. Duties include: Opening and Sorting Mail Distributing correspondence to other departments Creating check batches for processing and printing Working in Excel and spreadsheets Pulling and working credit card reports for daily processing Scanning/filing of patient information Basic computer skills for payment portals Other duties as assigned Other Program Highlights: Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing Must have excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently in an office setting Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent Working conditions: This position works in the billing office of a busy medical oncology/hematology clinic. Physical requirements: This position requires that the employee be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for up to 8 hours a day. Some walking and standing will be required when completing certain tasks. Direct reports This position is not a supervisory position.
